Some say writing a dissertation is like writing your life's work - I never understood until I spent a year locked away in my study, reading, analysing and pouring over transcripts of excitable 14 year olds. This dissertation received a mark of 78, a distinction with the comment "Kate should disseminate this research to the community". And so here it is.
